Starting off this blog with the Karaoke IKO! anime announcement!

Official anime announcement art from the website.

I'm honestly surprised that it's getting an anime as well, considering the live action movie released just this year. Although since it did pretty well, I guess that bolstered confidence for an anime? Not that I'm complaining, of course, more KaraIKO for me, heh.

Both Kara and Muchuu will be getting anime adaptations, but we don't know yet (or I don't know... lol) if they'll be separate, or together like an anthology. Because if they're separate, I have no idea how they'll stretch out both stories over 12 episodes... Although if we got some added Kara scenes I wouldn't complain!

(Pipe dream is something related to the official art of Satomi asleep in Kyouji's car. Like how and when and why??? Wayama please answer me, this art means so much to me... Look at how cute sleepy Satomi is...!)

Limited edition manga bonus art. An illustration of Satomi sleeping in Kyouji's car while Kyouji drives.

Also, I do wonder if this means a Fami anime sometime in the future? The Kara live action movie was good, but it changed quite a few parts that would make Fami's plot almost nonsensical in that universe... So maybe a more manga-accurate adaptation would mean Fami anime??? I'm just throwing stuff out there.

Speaking of Fami, I hope they keep Nakamura (from the Famires promotional CV) as Kyouji for the Kara anime... Like his portrayal of him is just so wonderful, I think about it constantly. And like, if they are planning to make a Fami anime, the same cast would be so incredible. Again, I watch this short video constantly it's kinda insane.

I haven't mentioned Muchuu as much because um... well... This is mainly a Kara/Fami site... and I'm very biased... lmfao... I do think Nikaido is one of Wayama's cutest characters ever, so I'll be tuning into the anime as well.

(Actually, while the countdown was happening, my friends and I were convinced it was going to be a full anime adaptation of Sono Hoshi... I'm still holding out hope for that honestly, we need more Mamoru Kobayashi in this world...)

Also! (I did say the blog would be waaay more rambling), I hope new attention to Wayama's works will mean English licenses for Fami and Onna Hoshi soon... PLEASE. Yen Press I will do (nearly) anything...
